Where are you located?

We are located in Carwoola, just 15 minute drive from Spotlight and Red Rooster in Queanbeyan. A map and instructions will be emailed upon your booking confirmation.

How many people can attend an apiary workshop?

Apiary workshops are limited to five or less people. This allows for a greater hands on and
coaching experience.

What level of fitness do I need?

Beekeeping involves lots of leaning over hives. Whilst we have placed our training hives on stands to minimise this, you may also want to be able to lift or move honey supers which may weigh as much as 35kg, however lifting aids are also used in our apiaries.

If your fitness level or physical abilities are less than average, you may wish to reconsider or discuss further arrangements or options with us prior to making your booking.

What terrain will I encounter?

Our Apiaries (Except Flow Hives) are situated on small hill sides, however the ground can also be rocky and uneven. You will require a moderate level of fitness and ability to access the hives.

Ideally, you will need to be able to get in and out of a 4×4 vehicle, or be sure foot on small bush
trails.

Are you insured?

Yes, Bush Capital Beekeeping is fully insured to the sum of $10,000,000

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, you can bring a friend or relative along. They must be 16 years or older, and will be considered participants. They too will need to pay the full workshop fee.

Will there be time for a bush walk?

Possibly. This depends on if the workshop has run on time, and if so we will endeavor to show
you the bush and views.
